Guidelines for Faculty ParticipantsA faculty member in the College of Veterinary Medicine may serve as an academic advisor (i.e., be a member of the CMIB faculty) if he or she has an active research program. Faculty members who wish to be included as participants in the program will submit a request to this effect to the CMIB director with an updated CV and copies of recent publications and evidence of research support. The CMIB director will review their request and grant/or deny membership in the program based on the research activities and output of the faculty member. Faculty in the program will be required to update the CMIB director with their progress every 5 years to remain a member of the CMIB faculty. The major advisor is required to submit a student's progress report to the CMIB-AC by December 31 of each year. The CMIB-AC will conduct individual interviews with each graduate student annually to assess progress in the program. Assessment of the student's progress will be reported to the major advisor, and the CMIB director. |
