Helpful hints submitted by Mr. Michael Boyle

Mr. Boyle participated in the Study Abroad Program in Leon, Mexico, Summer 2001.

Hints are as follow:

1. You are required to visit the MSU Onlin Health Travel Clinic. For more information, please visit their website at the link below: http://olin.msu.edu/travclin.html

2. Bring all forms of currency: credit cards, cash to exchange, and traveller's cheques.

3. The amount of money you need varies:

4. Before you pack your suitcase, lay out everything you need. Then, put half of it away. You will regret bringing so much when you find that whatever you wear gets washes every other day and there is no space for your clothes anyway.

5. Always leave space for things you buy, even if you are one of those people that never buys things in foreign countries. You will in Guanajuato.

6. Start watching Spanish television. You would be surprised at how much that helps get you accustomed to the language and rekindles skills you may have learned in high school
