Large Animal Clinical Science

Faculty and staff in the Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences (LCS) are concerned with the diseases of farm animals and horses. They teach students enrolled in the DVM curriculum of the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), provide medical care of large animals in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) and the Training Center for Dairy Professionals, advise animal producers on disease prevention, conduct research into animal disease, and provide postgraduate training via residency, MS and PhD programs. Many of the faculty members hold joint appointments in collaborating departments, such as Small Animal Clinical Sciences, Microbiology, Physiology and Agricultural Economics.
